Accordingly, District 1 and Cu Chi District are two localities to vaccinate children, 1,500 pupils and 300 pupils, respectively.

Earlier, the Departments of Health, Education and Training made thorough preparations for the vaccination, ensuring healthcare regulations against COVID-19, with the involvement of teachers and parents.

The City Department of Health also requires the medical unit to assign staff to be on duty around the clock to receive post-injection reaction information from the pupils’ families and guide timely handling.

According to a survey from secondary and high schools, more than 92% of parents agree to vaccinate their children.

During a meeting on October 26 with relevant agencies on vaccination for children, Minister of Health Nguyen Thanh Long said that the vaccination for children nationwide will start in November, using US-made Pfizer vaccines which have been used for children in many countries in the world.

Minister Nguyen Thanh Long affirmed that the top requirement in organizing children's vaccination is to ensure safety./.
