According to Chairman Mai, the vaccination will first focus on the elderly, people with underlying diseases; women pregnant aged 13 weeks or more and mothers who are breastfeeding; frontline forces against the pandemic; front-line forces in economic development such as investors, businesses, workers inside and outside industrial zones, workers in groups providing essential services and goods.
From August 29 to December 31, the city needs more than 8.1 million doses of vaccines for 4 vaccination phases.
"The city considers fighting the pandemic like fighting enemies, and vaccines as weapons,” said Chairman Mai. “This is also the key to reopening the economy in the near future.”
As of August 29, the city had administered vaccines to more than 6.1 million people, including nearly 5.8 receiving the first dose and more than 332,000 receiving the second dose./.
