Japanese group donates USD100,000 to Vietnam’s COVID-19 Vaccine Fund

On November 25, a representative of G.A. Consultants Japan Group donated USD100,000 to Vietnam’s Vaccine Fund for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.

Speaking at the hand-over ceremony, Mr. Seki Takehiko, Director of the group in Vietnam, said that the donation is the group’s practical activity to join hands with the Government and people of Vietnam to repel the COVID-19 pandemic.

Established in 1996, G.A Consultants Group was the first Japanese enterprise to bring Vietnamese engineers to Japan to work and the first corporation to introduce personnel to Japanese and foreign companies in Vietnam.

According to the representative of the group, currently the group is also an organization that supports the registration of the Japanese Government's special skills program, helping to find jobs for Vietnamese workers in Japan. The program aims to bring Vietnamese workers to Japan to work, improve their skills, improve industrial working style and foreign languages, then they can return to work and make contributions to Vietnam.

In addition, in Vietnam, the group also operates in the field of introducing highly qualified personnel for domestic enterprises, connecting and supporting Japanese businesses to invest in Vietnam, and operating in the office leasing business.

According to information from the Vaccine Fund for COVID-19 Prevention and Control, the fund has so far mobilized about VND8.8 trillion, and spent nearly VND7.6 trillion. Since its establishment, the fund has received support from many central and local agencies, businesses, entrepreneurs, benefactors, soldiers nationwide and overseas Vietnamese.

The management board of the Vaccine Fund for COVID-19 Prevention and Control expects to receive further contributions from domestic and foreign organizations and individuals, to contribute to helping the country defeat the COVID-19 pandemic and boost social economic development./.
