VFF Central Committee presents medals to 142 outstanding individuals in Da Nang

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City held a ceremony on November 17 to present medals “For the Cause of Great National Unity” from Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee to 142 outstanding individuals on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the traditional day of the VFF (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2020).

Patriotic emulation movements launched by the VFF have been warmly responded to by people from all walks of life across Da Nang city. Vietnam Fatherland Fronts at all levels have built 112 pilot models, such as “Environmentally-friendly residential areas”, “Residential areas without crime and social evils”, “Safe residential areas” for replication in 1,119 residential areas.
The city front called for support from organisations, businesses, and donors and mobilised nearly VND72 billion in cash and a great deal of many medical supplies, equipment, and necessities worth over VND40 billion during the two outbreaks of COVID-19 in the city.
The city front has promptly distributed goods and funds for epidemic prevention and control and supported people facing difficulties caused by the epidemic, ensuring social security in the area.
At the ceremony, 90 collectives and individuals were also commended and rewarded by the People’s Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City for their outstanding contributions to the patriotic emulation movements./.
