Four and five-star hotels given management skill training

(CPV) – From May 5th to 7th, 2016, the EU-funded Environmentally and Socially Responsible Tourism Capacity Development Program (EU-ESRT) project, in association with the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism’s Travel Department and Hanoi Tourism Department, organized a skill training course for four and five-star hotels.

The training course was attended by 20 trainees being directors, deputy managing directors, head of reception/room/ restaurants of four and five-star hotels in Hanoi, Ninh Binh and Bac Giang.

It aims to enhance the capacity for management teams of hotels and improve competence of the working force in accommodation, contributing to promoting the competitiveness of Vietnam’s tourism regionally and globally.

In his speech at the opening ceremony, Mr. Vu Quoc Tri, Director of the EU-ESRT project, said that four and five-star hotels in Vietnam are developing and growing rapidly. Together with the development, the demand for skilled labour is increasing quickly, especially workers and senior managers in the accommodation business field. Therefore, the project focused on the subject to help them enhance management skills to meet common regional and global standards.

During the three-day training course, the trainees had chances to access and study ten different topics.

This is the second training course organized after one in Quang Ninh from March 1st to 3rd, 2016. From now to August 2016, the project will organize 20 training courses in other provinces and cities with tourism development in the country./.
