According to the Da Nang city Department of Tourism, the APEC 2017 Economic Leaders’ Week was organised successfully from November 6th-11th, receiving appreciation from domestic and foreign delegates and leaving good impressions on international friends’ hearts. “The success recognises the contribution from tourism businesses, including hotels serving leaders and delegates of 21 APEC member economies, organizers of meetings and events, and travel agents,” said Mr. Tuan.

Mr. Tuan noted that hotels had poured large amounts of investment into upgrading facilities and equipment to serve the event. In particular, VND900 billion was spent upgrading the Sheraton Da Nang, VND400 billion on the Ariyana Convention Centre, and VND100 billion on the InterContinental Resort, providing luxurious accommodation and services.

Tourism businesses also sponsored rooms and cash worth nearly VND9.5 billion.

From November 5th-12th, 787 delegates visited Da Nang city’s tourism sites, such as the Museum of Da Nang, the Museum of Cham Sculpture, the Fine Arts Museum, Ba Na Hills and Ngu Hanh Son; and 47 journalists experienced tourism sites in the city./.
