The Quang Ninh People’s Committee has developed a plan to restore and attract tourists to the northern province in the fourth quarter of 2021. The province completed and promulgated the “Temporary set of criteria for assessing the safety level in the prevention and control of COVID-19 for tourism activities,” to urgently establish a safe tourism model and minimize the risk of disease for local people and visitors.

Many tourism businesses, entertainment and resort facilities such as Legacy Yen Tu, Vinpearl Ha Long, Tuan Chau International Tourist Area, FLC Ha Long, Sun World Halong Complex, Premier Village Halong Bay Resort, and Yoko Onsen Quang Hanh prepared to meet the conditions in facilities, human resources, and plans for control and prevention of the epidemic to welcome travelers.
In order to restart tourism activities in the “new normal” state, at the end of September, the People’s Committees of Quang Ninh and Hai Phong city held a meeting to discuss cooperation in tourism development.
In October, the two sides expect to sign a set of regulations on tourism activities to restart tourism on the basis of identifying specific destinations and strictly ensuring epidemic prevention and control measures.
Regarding intra-provincial tourism, Quang Ninh develops programs and packages of safe tourism products, safe destinations with criteria and processes of ensuring epidemic prevention.
The province focuses on building safe tourism models in areas isolated from the mainland, long-term tourism in Tuan Chau Island, the islands of Co To, Van Don, Hai Ha districts, Mong Cai city and highland communes of Binh Lieu district.
At the same time, the province encourages overnight tourism products on Ha Long Bay, using self-contained services, without risk of disease to the community./.
