Mong Cai’s trade turnover soars over 45% in 8 months

Trade activities in Mong Cai city saw positive changes in the first eight months this year with a year-on-year rise of 45.1% thanks to numerous solutions to solve difficulties, facilitating business and export-import activities in the city, reported the Quang Ninh News.

Mong Cai’s trade turnover in August 2015 reached nearly USD322 million, a 61.5% over a month earlier, bringing the total figure from the start of the year to over USD3.06 billion, a year-on-year increase of 45.1%, said the municipal People’s Committee.

The eight-month figure included over USD1.23 billion of export turnover, up 62.4% while import turnover amounted to nearly USD1.83 billion, up 35.4%.

The increases in export and import turnover came as a result of the high value of some temporarily-imported and re-exported commodities together with stable production of Texhong Ngan Long Science and Technology Co. Ltd., making export and import turnover of fibre and filament surge sharply./.
