People encouraged to hand over site for Dung Quat Oil Refinery Plant

To ensure site clearance for the project upgrading and expanding Dung Quat Oil Refinery Plant by March 31st, on March 12th, representatives of Binh Tri communal, Binh Son district and Quang Ngai provincial authorities, as well as the project management unit, encouraged the final 61 families to remove their houses and hand over the site for the project.

Earlier, 20 of 81 requested families agreed to provide site clearance in March.
To smooth site clearance, authorized agencies have come to each of the requested families to disseminate Party and State guidelines and policies on the importance of site clearance for the project.
Accordingly, compensation and support for resettlement after site clearance has been explained to families.
Strict coordination between the project management unit and Quang Ngai province has been continued, in order to address any obstacles in site clearance, thus creating a consensus between authorities and residents./.
