After nearly 10 years of implementing Directive 40-CT/TW of the Secretariat, nearly 3 years of implementing Conclusion 06-KL/TW of the Secretariat, social policy credit activities in the northern province have showed positive changes.
The Party’s directives have been implemented extensively, creating strong and positive impact; changing the awareness of party committees and local authorities about the position and role of social policy credit.
With the participation of the entire political system, in the 2015-2024 period (until June 30, 2024), the Ha Nam Bank for Social Policies’ branch has disbursed 7,325 billion VND to more than 194,000 poor households and policy beneficiaries.
The above capital has contributed to helping more than 30,000 households overcome the poverty threshold; creating jobs for over 21,000 workers; helping more than 14,000 pupils and students in difficult circumstances get loans to study at universities, colleges and professional schools; 1,964 pupils and students received loans to buy computers and equipment for online studying; contributed to the construction and renovation of more than 162,000 clean water and sanitation works; supported the construction and renovation of 1,408 houses for poor households, people with meritorious services, officials, public employees, civil servants, workers and low-income people, and helped 49 businesses with loans to pay wages for work stoppages and production recovery.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Duong Quyet Thang, Member of the Board of Directors, General Director of the VBSP, emphasized that the achievement through 10 years of implementing Directive 40-CT/TW Ha Nam affirmed the appropriate leadership and direction in implementing social policy credit, thereby receiving approval and support from all levels, sectors and people from all walks of life, contributing to the effective implementation of important guidelines, policies, goals and tasks set by the Party and State.
Aiming to continue to promote and effectively implement Directive 40-CT/TW and Conclusion 06-KL/TW of the Secretariat in the coming time, Ms. Dinh Thi Lua, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Ha Nam, required Party committees, party organizations, authorities, the Fatherland Front, and socio-political organizations at all levels to focus on well implementing a number of tasks and solutions such as continuing to thoroughly grasp the content of Directive 40 and Conclusion 06-KL/TW, raising awareness of officials, party members and people about the position and role of social policy credit in association with economic growth.
On this occasion, the VBSP donated 1 billion VND to Ha Nam to support the construction of solidarity houses for the poor in the province./.
