In particular, this year's report emphasizes the issue of plastic waste from e-commerce to call on organizations and businesses to reduce negative impacts on the environment, contributing to promoting sustainable e-commerce development.

Vietnam E-commerce Index is compiled by the Vietnam E-commerce Association from three component indexes, including: Human resources and information technology infrastructure; business-to-consumer (B2C) e-commerce transactions and business-to-business (B2B) e-commerce transactions.

The report continues to point out the need to deploy policies and solutions to address three major issues including: Digital divide, digital human resources and environment.

In addition, the Report also recommends that state management agencies evaluate the current status and promulgate policies and laws to promote online export activities, educational technology and medical technology.

In particular, local state management agencies can propose specific activities within their scope of management to promote each component indicator in the overall index, thereby contributing to local trade development./.
