Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Tran Sy Thanh has just signed a plan to complete the targets of the Resolution of the 17th Hanoi Party Congress.

The plan aims to review the goals, targets and tasks set by the Resolution of the 17th Hanoi Party Congress; focus on difficult targets to find solutions and achieve the highest level of the set goals.
Accordingly, the city strives to increase gross regional domestic product (GRDP) next year. In 2024, GRDP will increase by more than 6.5%; per person GRDP will reach over 160.8 million VND in 2024 and the goal is to reach over 171 million in 2025.
Total social investment capital in 2024 will reach over 559.4 trillion VND and aim to increase by more than 10.5% in 2025. Labor productivity growth rate in 2024-2025 strives to reach more than 5% a year.
The city also focuses on completing difficult targets, such as the proportion of digital economy in GRDP striving to reach over 20% in 2024 and about 30% in 2025, the proportion of rural households provided with clean water reaching 95% in 2024 and 100% in 2025; the rate of urban wastewater treatment reaching 40% in 2024 and 50% in 2025; the rate of public passenger transport reaching 25% in 2024 and about 30% in 2025, and the urbanization rate reaching about 60% in 2025.
Aiming to complete these targets, the city will promote economic development with the following targets of striving to have the contribution of logistics in GRDP of more than 9% by 2025; export turnover of 20.5 billion USD by 2025; attracting 27 million tourists in 2024 and 30 million tourists in 2025; the added value of processing and manufacturing industry accounting for 17% of GRDP; and the proportion of cultural industry accounting for 5% of GRDP by 2025.
The Hanoi People’s Committee assigns heads of departments and branches; and chairmen of the People’s Committees of districts, towns and cities to direct the review of programs and plans and implement solutions to complete the goals, targets and tasks, and focus on implementing solutions to achieve the difficult targets.
The Department of Planning and Investment bases on the practical situation to develop operating scenarios and solutions for the city’s socio-economic development.
The Hanoi Department of Statistics updates the periodic results of growth targets and provides information to units to build scenarios and have solutions to complete the set targets./.
