Ho Chi Minh City ranks first in import-export value

Ho Chi Minh City ranked first in import-export value of the country, according to the latest customs statistics on import-export turnover of provinces and cities in January.

Specifically, export turnover reached more than 3.75 billion USD, while imports were valued at 4.95 billion USD.
Thus, the city’s total import-export value reached 8.5 billion USD, equivalent to 13% of the country’s total import-export turnover.
The northern province of Bac Ninh ranked second in import-export turnover with a total value of 5.7 billion USD, of which export value reached more than 3 billion USD.
The northeastern province of Thai Nguyen ranked third with an export value of nearly 3.8 billion USD, while imports were 1.8 billion USD.
It was followed by Binh Duong with about 5 billion USD of total exports and imports (3 billion USD in exports), and Hanoi with 1.5 billion in exports and 3.4 billion USD in imports./.
