Hoa Binh exports 7.5 tons of pickled peppers to RoK

On March 28, the Hoa Binh provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development coordinated with Tien Ngan Investment and Trading Co., Ltd., Tomas Trade Co.Ltd Korea, and ASIA Ocean Company to export 7.5 tons of pickled peppers to the Republic of Korea (RoK).

According to the Plant Protection Sub-Department of Hoa Binh, RoK firms have said that they need 4,000 tonnes of pickled chili peppers each year.
In 2024, Tien Ngan Investment and Trading Co., Ltd. plans to export 150 tons of pickled peppers to the Korean market. Therefore, the locality plans to expand its chili pepper farming area to about 50 hectares for export, mostly in Luong Son, Lac Son and Kim Boi districts as well as Hoa Binh city.
Director of the Hoa Binh Department of Agriculture and Rural Development Nguyen Huy Nhuan said that the export of the first lot of pickled chili peppers to the RoK opens up new hopes for the locality in promoting the export of major agricultural products, while enhancing the confidence of farmers in producing products for international orders.
Hoa Binh not only exports traditional products such as sugarcane, oranges, and grapefruit to foreign markets but promotes new products and crops; at the same time, it strengthens the confidence of producers, officials and local authorities in organizing production according to order requirements.
The province encourages key agricultural growing areas and export enterprises to boldly invest in production lines and technology for deep processing, creating motivation to shift from exporting raw and fresh products to exporting processed products to increase output and value.
