Japan supports Dong Thap to develop organic agriculture

A signing ceremony has been held at the Consulate General of Japan in Ho Chi Minh City to provide aid for the sustainable community development project of Japan’s non-profit organization Seed to Table.

The project’s aid amount of 195,277 USD will support the Mekong Delta province of Dong Thap in researching and developing local agricultural specialties and training related human resources to operate and manage projects in the field of food processing and organic agriculture development.
The project also helps create new industries, contributes to improving the livelihoods of small-scale farming households, raises awareness of environmental protection, as well as builds a sustainable development model for the locality.
At the signing ceremony, the Consul General of Japan in Ho Chi Minh City, Mr. Ono Masuo, pledged to provide maximum support for the project in the coming time./.
