Fruit and vegetable exports in the first two months of 2024 grew by more than 70%, valued at 970 million USD, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
The major export products included fresh coconut, dragon fruit, grapefruit, banana, passion fruit, mango and durian.
Among them, durian is still the dominant product, especially making a breakthrough after the official export protocol to China.
According to the Vietnam Fruit and Vegetable Association, Vietnam’s durian output increases by 15-20% each year. Regarding the market, China continues to be Vietnam's largest fruit and vegetable import market, accounting for 65% of the market share.

In particular, 4 products will be officially exported to China in the near future, including: medicinal herbs, coconuts, frozen fruits and watermelons, contributing to bringing this year’s fruit and vegetable export turnover to more than 6 .5 billion USD.
In addition, fruit and vegetable exports to selective markets such as the US, the Republic of Korea and Japan also grew strongly, opening up many opportunities for this industry./.
