SUN EDU International Education Joint Stock Company and Hong Lac University have officially signed a Cooperation Agreement (MOU) to establish a Semiconductor integrated circuit (IC) center.
Attending and witnessing the signing ceremony were comrades: Nguyen Hong Linh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Son Hung, Vice Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Anh Thi, Head of Management Board of Ho Chi Minh City Hi-Tech Park, and representatives of leaders of SUN EDU International Education Joint Stock Company, Board of Directors of Lac Hong University and related departments.
With a common vision and commitment to sustainable development for the semiconductor chip industry, the signing marks the close cooperation between SUN EDU and Lac Hong University. The two sides will focus on developing advanced training programs, providing not only theoretical knowledge but also practical skills to students, thereby enhancing their capacity and preparing them to become high quality experts in the field of electronics and semiconductor circuits.
In addition, the development of the Circuit Engineer Training Program at Lac Hong University is also an important part of this cooperation plan. This program will be comprehensively designed to meet increasingly demanding requirements from the labor market and industry, helping students gain the in-depth knowledge and skills needed to succeed in their careers later.

The two sides also commit to supporting research and technology development in the field of semiconductor circuits through creating favorable conditions for research activities, innovation projects and technology transfer. Thereby, it is hoped to contribute to promoting the progress of the electronics and semiconductor circuits industry, as well as economic development in the Southeast region.
The signing between SUN EDU and Lac Hong University is not only an important step forward in promoting the electronics and semiconductor circuits industry, but also a demonstration of the solid commitment of both parties in the development of education and technology in Dong Nai province in particular and the Southeast region in general.
The parties commit to continue working together to build, develop and implement cooperative activities according to the schedule and commitments discussed and recorded in the MOU.
According to Lac Hong University Principal Lam Thanh Hien, in the trend of rapid development of science and technology, especially in the field of semiconductor circuits, Lac Hong University has policies to develop training activities in creating a direction to provide high quality human resources for the labor market. The University's Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering is a unit that directly trains and teaches basic subjects related to the field of electronic circuit design such as basic electronics, electronic components, printing circuit design, digital, technical programming, applied electronic circuit design practice. Many scientific research topics focus on orienting content related to control circuit design for automatic systems and IoT, many of which have been transferred to businesses.

The university has collaborated with Minh Tan University of Science and Technology, one of the leading schools in IC design technology in China’s Taiwan. The University's Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering is building the "International Industrial Talent Engineer" Program for the period 2024 - 2026. It is expected that in February 2025, 20 students will study in the field of semiconductor manufacturing for green energy, manufacturing semiconductors for vehicles with the university. In the near future, the university is preparing to sign a memorandum of cooperation with On Semiconductor Vietnam Co., Ltd. to support training and sponsor equipment related to electronics and semiconductor manufacturing to help students become familiar with the production process of professional manufacturer of semiconductor components.
The Principal of Lac Hong University hopes that after the signing ceremony, the University will receive a lot of positive support from management agencies as well as partners to jointly develop the IC Design Center at the University, focusing on transformation training, advanced training, and retraining according to international standards, gradually participating and actively contributing to the development of the semiconductor circuit ecosystem in Dong Nai, the Southeast region and the whole country.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Vice Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Son Hung expected that the IC Design Center in Dong Nai coming into operation will be a gathering place for experts, core lecturers, and high-quality talented individuals to continue training and developing the province's human resources, meeting the increasing need for human resources in this field. At the same time, this will contribute to realizing the Government's goal of 50,000 engineers by 2030 for the semiconductor chip industry, promoting the development of the semiconductor ecosystem and creating new motivation and attraction to increase attraction in high technology investment in Dong Nai and the region.
Vice Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee asked relevant departments and branches to support and create conditions for Lac Hong University to implement the signed contents, contributing to building Dong Nai province to develop the semiconductor chip industry in economic driving force for information technology industry.
Dong Nai province will have mechanisms and policies to encourage universities to do basic research and train high-quality human resources to lead the development of the semiconductor chip industry; creating human resource demand for the semiconductor chip industry by promoting stronger digital transformation.
