After more than 10 years of implementing Directive 40-CT/TW of the Secretariat, the Standing Board of the Dong Thap Party Committee has actively and synchronously deployed many contents and appropriate solutions in each stage.
So far, the local budget capital entrusted to the Social Policy Bank in Dong Thap has reached more than 685 billion VND, an increase of more than 633 billion VND compared to the period before implementing Directive CT/TW.
In the past 10 years, the total loan turnover was more than 14 trillion VND. Nearly 859,000 poor and near-poor households and other policy beneficiaries have borrowed over 14 trillion VND.
Among the 17 credit programs, there are currently a number of programs with high outstanding balance, including: preferential loans for poor households and near-poor households and loans to support job creation and job maintenance.

Deputy General Director of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies Nguyen Thi Hang assessed that Dong Thap has focused on arranging, receiving, and mobilizing large policy credit resources, meeting the demand for policy credit capital in the locality.
“Dong Thap has built and created very strong belief among people in capital borrowing to escape poverty, and have the will to get rich to return to help people in difficult circumstances in the residential area. It can be said that Directive 40-CT/TW and Conclusion 06-KL/TW have come into life, promoted their effectiveness and efficiency, in line with the Party’s will and the people’s hearts, and have received the people’s support,” Ms. Nguyen Thi Hang affirmed.

Concluding the conference, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Dong Thap Party Committee Phan Van Thang requested Party committees, Party organizations, authorities, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations at all levels to continue to enhance their roles and responsibilities to effectively implement Directive 40-CT/TW and Conclusion 06-KL/TW on social policy credit./.
