Total import-export turnover in March is estimated at 65.09 billion USD

(CPV) – State budget revenue from import-export activities in March reached 31,935 billion VND, an increase of 3.9% from the previous month, according to the latest data from the General Department of Customs.

Regarding the import-export situation, export turnover in March is estimated at 34.01 billion USD, an increase of 37.8% (equivalent to 9.32 billion USD) from the previous month, while imports are valued at 31.08 billion USD, an increase of 33.4% (equivalent to 7.78 billion USD).
Thus, the total import-export turnover in March is estimated at 65.09 billion USD, an increase of 35.6% (equivalent to 17.1 billion USD) from the previous month, the trade balance is estimated at 2.93 billion USD.
In the first 3 months of 2024, export turnover totals 93.06 billion USD, an increase of 17% (equivalent to 13.51 billion USD) over the same period last year; while imports are estimated at 84.98 billion USD, up 13.9% (equivalent to 10.35 billion USD).
In the first quarter, total import-export turnover is estimated at 178.04 billion USD, an increase of 15.5% (equivalent to 23.86 billion USD) compared to the same period last year. The trade balance in the first 3 months is estimated to enjoy a surplus of 8.08 billion USD.
In the period, the customs sector's budget revenue reaches 88,354 billion VND, equal to 26.3% of the assigned estimate, down 4.2% from the same period last year./.
