Vietnam Economic Forum at mid-point of 13th National Party Congress term opens

(CPV) – Vietnam Economic Forum at mid-point of the 13th National Party Congress term was held by the PCC’s Commission of Popularization and Education, Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, National Political Publishing House and Communist Party of Vietnam Online Newspaper, on December 12, in Hanoi.
The event was attended by Mr. Lai Xuan Mon, PCC member, Standing Deputy Head of the PCC’s Commission of Popularization and Education, and Chairman of the Scientific Council of Central Party Agencies; Mr. Luong Tam Quang, PCC member, Deputy Minister of Public Security; Mr. Phan Xuan Thuy, Deputy Head of the PCC’s Commission of Popularization and Education, and other leaders of ministries and departments.

In his opening speech, Dr. Nguyen Cong Dung, Editor-in-Chief of the Communist Party of Vietnam Online Newspaper, said that during the leadership process, the Party always focuses on closely connecting Party building work, political system building with socio-economic development duties. From the 13th National Party Congress, the Party’s political creed, strategies and official documents, as well as thematic Resolutions to concretize targets set by the Party Congress Resolution.

The forum offers an opportunity for leaders of central and local departments, ministries, branches, and experts to exchange and evaluate the promotion of the Party's leadership role in the country's economic development, thereby improving awareness of the Party's role in leading, directing and implementing tasks related to the management, exploitation, use and promotion of the economy's resources to promote rapid and sustainable economic development.
At the event, delegates evaluated the contents and results achieved since the beginning of the term, as well as proposed major practical solutions to complete the targets set out in the Resolution in the second half of the term.

In 2023, the Party Central Committee and the Party Executive Committees of the Provincial and City Party Committees organized the mid-term summary of the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2020 – 2025 period./.
