The Hungarian Trade Office recently coordinated with the Vietnamese Embassy in Hungary to display and introduce Vietnamese export products in the capital Zagreb.
The event is within the framework of “Vietnamese Culture Day in Croatia” taking place in early July. This is the first time the exhibition, promotion and introduction of Vietnamese export goods has been held in Croatia.

With about 100 typical agricultural products, foods and handicrafts on display, the Vietnamese booth attracted a lot of attention and shopping from Croatian people. The event is an opportunity for Croatian consumers and businesses to better understand Vietnamese export products.
Mr. Marko, Honorary Consul of Vietnam in Croatia, hailed the efforts of the Embassy and Trade Office in organizing this event. He said that the event was very meaningful, contributing to further marketing, expanding markets, economic cooperation and business connections between Vietnam and of Croatia.
Vietnamese Culture Day in Croatia 2024 has become an outstanding cultural event in July in Zagreb, making a deep impression and feeling with Croatian people and international friends about Vietnam, with its unique traditional culture, many beautiful landscapes, friendly and hospitable people, and rich cuisine.
Since the COVID-19 pandemic, Vietnam-Croatia bilateral trade turnover has continued to grow steadily over the years, from 90.1 million USD (2021) to 127.67 million USD (2023). In the first six months of 2024, two-way trade reached 67.6 million USD, a slight decrease of 4.6%. Of which, exports reached 48 million USD, down 4.7%; imports posted 19.6 million USD, down 4% over the same period last year.
Import-export turnover between the two countries is expected to reach about 140 million USD in 2024, an increase of about 10%./.
