During the visit, local Cambodian media outlets such as the Cambodian News Agency (AKP), Kampuchea Thmey and Khmer Times actively reported on Chairman Tran Thanh Man’s four-day trip (November 21-24). They highlighted the strong solidarity, friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Cambodia through their coverage of the events.

In addition to Chairman Tran Thanh Man’s key activities, such as the inauguration of Cambodia’s new National Assembly administrative building and meetings with Cambodian leaders, the media also provided updates on his participation in ICAPP-12 and IPTP-11, meetings with Samdech Men Sam An, President of the Cambodia-Vietnam Friendship Association, and interactions with former National Assembly Chairman Samdech Heng Samrin, among others.

Among the nearly 30 activities during the visit, the inauguration of the new National Assembly administrative building on November 21 in Phnom Penh received notable media attention. Reporting on the event, AKP quoted National Assembly Chairwoman Samdech Khuon Sudary, who expressed deep gratitude to Vietnam’s Party, State and people for their USD25 million assistance to build the administrative building for Cambodia's National Assembly.

Speaking at the event, Chairman Tran Thanh Man remarked that the new administrative building, a gift from the Vietnamese people to the Cambodian people, stands as a symbol of the enduring friendship and traditional cooperation between the two nations.

In another article titled “Vietnamese National Assembly Chairman’s Four-Day Visit to Cambodia During ICAPP and IPTP Meetings,” AKP emphasized that the visit aimed not only to enhance the “good neighborliness, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation and long-term sustainability” between the two countries, but also to promote multilateral relations and strengthen parliamentary mechanisms to ensure peace and stability for the region and the world.

The Khmer Times published an article titled “Enduring Friendship and Long-Lasting Partnership,” highlighting that Chairman Tran Thanh Man’s official visit marked a new milestone in strengthening bilateral parliamentary cooperation and deepening ties between the neighboring nations.

In another Khmer Times article titled “New Heights in Cambodia-Vietnam Economic and Trade Cooperation,” researcher Uch Leang, Acting Director of the Department of Asia-Africa and the Middle East Studies at the Cambodian Institute of International Relations under the Royal Academy of Cambodia, offered positive insights into the visit from an economic and trade cooperation perspective.

Based on analyses of over a decade of robust trade growth and current investment opportunities, the researcher expressed optimism, stating: “Cambodia and Vietnam will continue to create favorable conditions for businesses and investors from both countries to promote trade and investment.”
