Vietnam is still an attractive destination for US investors in the Indo-Pacific, according to information released at an online discussion recently organized by The Asia Group.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the event aimed to share business opportunities and updates on the fight against COVID-19 and economic prospects in Vietnam. It drew over 40 executives and representatives from US firms in the fields of energy, finance, technology and manufacturing such as Blackstone Group, Google, Facebook, Ford, UPS and Walmart.
At the event, The Asia Group General Director Nirav Patel and representatives of many businesses congratulated the Vietnamese Government for maintaining positive growth in 2020, successfully responding to the pandemic and developing the economy; while affirming that they will continue to support and accompany Vietnam in the joint effort.
Speaking at the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to the US Ha Kim Ngoc highlighted Vietnam’s economic achievements, and informed participants about the country's incentives in foreign direct investment (FDI) attraction.
He underscored the Vietnamese Government’s determination to selectively attract FDI and strengthen Vietnam’s role in restructuring the global supply chain./.
