11,000 illegally imported breeding chickens seized in northern province

On July 29, Quang Ninh provincial police discovered a 16-seat car carrying 11,000 breeding chickens without certificate of origin or quarantine documents in Tien Yen district.

The driver of the vehicle, 34 years old, coming from Hai Ha district, admitted that he bought the chickens from China to sell them in domestic markets. All the chickens were seized and culled in accordance with the current regulation.
