Quang Ninh sets up two more border guard stations

The border guard of the northern province of Quang Ninh has announced the decision to set up two more border guard stations, in Hai Ha and Dam Ha districts.

The stations will be responsible for managing and protecting border security, sovereignty and maintaining social safety in the areas based on the existing ordinances.

The establishment of the stations is a right and prompt orientation of the Ministry of National Defence, in order to reinforce the protection of border areas.

Speaking during the announcement of the establishment on July 30, Colonel Le Tien Thanh, head of the provincial border guard, asked the two new border guard stations to build up strong border production, intelligent and modern border guards, and protect border security in all cases.

He also requested the stations to participate in building political grassroots system at border communes, especially in highlands and coastal communes, and support local socio-economic development, thus contributing to reducing poverty and raising social welfare at border areas./.
