After a month of implementing the program on families saving electricity in 2013, the power consumption of Ha Long city was reduced 1.7 million KWh compared to June.

Formerly, Ha Long city consumed about 37 million KWh of electricity per month, of which electricity for daily life accounted for 43.7%. After launching the program of families saving electricity, in July, the power consumption of Ha Long city fell to 35.5 million kWh.

With the message "Together with customers to save electricity for public benefit", the program provides skills and knowledge on power usage, creating the habit of saving electricity and minimizing the cost of power consumption.
