Northern province organises 30 blood donation programs

Since the beginning of the year, the northern province of Quang Ninh has organised 30 blood donation programs, attracting 9,380 blood donors and collecting 4,293 units of blood, according steering committees on blood donation at localities.

The programs were mainly held under the campaign “Red Festival” during the traditional Tet festival, the humanitarian blood donation and summer blood donation campaigns. The donors are young people, students, officials and labourers in the province.

In 2013, the province strives to collect 6,000 units of blood to treat patients./.
