Northern province ready for 50th anniversary celebration

The northern province of Quang Ninh has thoroughly prepared for the celebration of the 50^th year since its establishment (30 October 1963 – 30 October 2013).

So far, the detailed program for the celebration has been completed, while agencies participating in the parade have been actively practising. Meanwhile, the installation of the stand, platform and stage and technical devices for audio and lights has been carried out since October 5 and is expected to be completed by October 15.

In addition, the decoration for the celebration with slogans, panels, posters has been carried out across residential areas.

In Ha Long City, cultural and sports activities have been held and people are encouraged to clean up the environment to celebrate the event.

According to relevant agencies, the preparations for receiving guests and delegates, ensuring security, traffic safety, healthcare, food safety, power and water supply have been made ready.

Together with these, preparations for an exhibition highlighting the province, the Ha Long Bay international marathon competition, a film festival, the inauguration of the province’s museum-library construction have also been accelerated to mark the event./.
