Training course about intellectual property and geographical indication for Quang Ninh austriella corrugata

(CPV) - The Quang Ninh provincial Department of Science and Technology, Tien Yen district and Concetti company organized an training course about intellectual property and geographical indication for Quang Ninh austriella corrugate on April 23 in Tien Yen district.

The trainees of the training course are households joining exploitation and trading of austriella corrugate products from districts of Van Don, Dam Ha, Tien Yen and Quang Yen town. They are imparted knowledge on intellectual property, geographical indications, purpose and role of building geographical indications for Quang Ninh austriella corrugate products; steps in the construction of geographical indications, the role of geographical indications for economic development of the coastal areas in Quang Ninh province; activities, the process of establishment of geographical indication; management tools, rules and use of Quang Ninh geographical indications; duties and functions of the certification and management organizations of the geographical indications.

The training course also helps trainees raise awareness, understanding of the economic value of austriella corrugata products and then they have plans to conserve, reproduce and sustainably develop sources of Quang Ninh austriella corrugata./.
