Localities across the northern province of Quang Ninh are accelerating the implementation of the Prime Minister’s decision on giving housing support to revolutionary contributors.

Under the program, nearly 5,100 revolutionary contributors received the support in 2013 and 2014. Of which 2,598 families’ houses are being built and the other families’ houses will be repaired.
Accordingly, the province is spending nearly VND155 billion on the program, with VND123.1 billion coming from the central budget and the remaining coming from the provincial budget. Apart from the capital, the province has enlisted the support of families and communities to aid the program.
To ensure the quality of the project, the provincial Department of Construction has worked with the provincial Department of Labour, War-Invalids and Social Affairs to inspect the implementation of the program. According to the provincial Department of Construction, so far VND41.6 billion has been disbursed to support 2,536 families, accounting for 50% of the plan.
Housing support programs for revolutionary contributors is a large policy of great social significance, in order to assist them in improving and increasing their living standards./.
