Pham Minh Chinh, a Party Central Committee member and Secretary of the Quang Ninh provincial People’s Committee has recently worked with Cam Pha city on more effective use of personnel and the program on modernising rural areas.

Visiting Cam Pha high school, he urged the school to re-arrange the personnel so that it could be smaller but work more efficiently. He also asked the school to re-arrange classes and ensure a green schooling environment.
During the working visit, he inspected the work at Cam Hai communal medical stations, in which he praised the efforts of doctors and nurses in protecting people’s health.
Working with Cam Hai communal officials, he requested the commune to focus on developing its strengths, including fisheries, fishing and aquaculture, afforestation and the growing of medicinal plants.
He also asked Cam Pha city to pay special attention in supporting Cam Hai commune in economic development and the completion of planning, especially construction planning.
Addressing Cam Hai commune’s request for financing capital for fishermen’s offshore expenses and upgrades of ships and sea dykes, he asked relevant departments and agencies to tackle the commune’s requirement.
Cam Hai is a mountainous and remote commune of Cam Pha city. Three years after the implementation of the program on building new style rural areas, there has been a remarkable improvement in the commune’s appearance. 90% of the commune’s people have adequate housing. It had an average income per capita of VND19.5 million per year in 2013, with only 3 families living in poverty. At present, it has 45 inshore fishing vessels./.
