The Minister directly inspected the International Media Centre, Furama Hotel, Ariyana Convention Centre and Intercontinental Hotel, venues for important meetings and conferences in the framework of AELW.
He suggested that the units should prepare readily and attentively, contributing to the success of AELW 2017.
At the International Media Centre, the main working place for domestic and international reporters, Mr. Tuan visited the reception area, the information desk, the press conference room and inspected security work, transmission lines and information infrastructure system.
Exchanging with the Minister, international reporters expressed their satisfaction with the infrastructure and equipment at the centre.
Mr Tuan asked the Internet providers to urgently intensify transmission speed to ensure smooth operation, creating favourable conditions for reporters, especially when many reporters work at the same time, and have a reserve plan for special cases and emergency cases.
He visited technical working areas of a number of agencies, news agencies and newspapers, and requested that news and media agencies of the host Vietnam take the initiative in better coordinating, sharing and providing information with the international press, contributing to promoting communications for AELW 2017.
Thanking reporters who directly participate in communications and reporting at AELW 2017, the Minister hoped that Vietnamese and international reporters would provide information, which is worth the large international event organized in Vietnam this year./.
