500 ventilators presented to fight COVID-19

At the headquarters of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF), the Ministry of Health on August 5 received 500 MV20 ventilators from Van Lang University and Van Thinh Phat Group, with a total value of VND120 billion.

At the presenting ceremony, VFF President Tran Thanh Man and Acting Minister of Health Nguyen Thanh Long said that the MV20 ventilators were needed for the period when the health sector was doing its best to treat COVID-19 patients and those in critical situation and needing intensive treatment or extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO).

The donation of 500 ventilators is a noble deed which is worth being praised during the outbreaks of COVID-19 in Vietnam, according to Acting Minister of Health Long.

Dr. Nguyen Cao Tri, Chairman of the Council of Van Lang University, said that experts of Japan Metran Company, Van Lang University and Van Thinh Phat Group, would transfer the ventilators to needed areas, and work with the Ministry of Health to provide user manuals for receiving units./.
