How to boost development and make the province into a model province as desired by President Ho Chi Minh during his first visit to the province in 1947 has received great attention from the provincial Party Committee, authority and people. On August 5, the Politburo issued Resolution 58 on the construction and development of Thanh Hoa province until 2030, with a vision to 2045, which was considered an expectation for Thanh Hoa. Politburo member and Head of the Party Central Committee Commission on Economics Nguyen Van Binh affirmed that Thanh Hoa must develop and become an industrial province.
Identifying regional links will create a driving force to promote economic development. Thanh Hoa focuses on developing 4 driving economic centers, 5 growth pillars and 6 economic corridors. This is considered as an important goal and task in the political report of the 19th provincial Party Congress, aiming to effectively realise Resolution 58.
Mr. Do Trong Hung, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, said that Thanh Hoa has never had such potential and advantages. An exclusive resolution for Thanh Hoa will create strong resources, opening up outstanding and different opportunities for the locality to take off and create breakthrough development, together with Hai Phong, and Quang Ninh, to become the northern development quadrilateral of the country.
Along with the expansion of regional links, Thanh Hoa province determines that it will prioritize the allocation of budget capital and focus on mobilizing maximum resources for infrastructure investment in Nghi Son economic zone and industrial zones. The Nghi Son Economic Zone, apart from the petrochemical industry, has recently attracted diverse important investment sectors such as energy and metallurgy, which are considered the foundation for future development. Additionally, the province will study to establish the hi-tech supportive industrial sector./.
