13 delegations of heads of state pay tribute to President Ho Chi Minh in 2023

The Management Board of President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum welcomed and served 13 delegations of heads of state and 96 delegations of high-ranking leaders from foreign countries to pay their respects and commemorate President Ho Chi Minh and fallen heroes in 2023.
The Management Board of President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum has held a conference to summarize 2023 tasks and set out orientations and tasks for 2024.

Under the chairmanship of Major General Pham Hai Trung, Head of the Management Board of President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Commander of the President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Protection Command, the event was attended by leaders and delegates of agencies and units inside and outside the Management Board.
In 2023, agencies and units in the Mausoleum Management Board have successfully completed their assigned tasks. It advised and proposed to the Government and the Prime Minister to strengthen the State-level Science Council on long-term preservation and absolute safety of the body of President Ho Chi Minh; and organized ceremonies to visit President Ho Chi Minh and commemorate State-level heroic martyrs on the occasion of holidays and anniversaries of the year.
The management board also coordinated and proposed to compile a dossier to request the development of an Ordinance on Management and Protection of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Relic Area and report to the Government for approval.
At the same time, the management board also welcomed more than 2.2 million compatriots and international visitors to visit the Mausoleum and commemorate heroic martyrs. It coordinated to welcome and serve the Prime Minister to launch the Tree Planting Festival in eternal gratitude to Uncle Ho, and agencies and units to offer incense to commemorate Uncle Ho and respond to the Tree Planting Festival at the Relic Area K9.
President Ho Chi Minh passed away on September 2, 1969. His body was embalmed and placed in a glass coffin inside his granite mausoleum, which has become an important landmark of the capital city and is integral to the political and social history of Vietnam./.
