DKSH, a trusted partner of many international brands seeking growth in the Asian market, has committed to continue providing Vietnam with cash as well as medical equipment and supplies worth USD1 million for the frontline medical staff in the fight against COVID-19.

Specifically, DKSH donated masks, protective clothing and medical equipment to the National Cancer Hospital and Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases in June when COVID-19 cases began to increase sharply in the North of Vietnam. Other essentials such as hand sanitizer, disinfectant solution and nutritional drinks were also sent by DKSH to frontline hospitals in the North through the Ministry of Health.

When Ho Chi Minh City has become the locality with the largest number of COVID-19 cases, and many public hospitals and field hospitals faced difficulties in finding specialized medical supplies to treat patients, DKSH quickly sponsored not only cash, but also medical equipment and supplies such as masks, test kits, hospital beds, blood gas testing machines to many public hospitals and field hospitals.

Since the beginning of this wave of the pandemic, DKSH has supported more than USD300,000 out of a total commitment of USD1 million by the end of 2021.

Jorge Martin Martinez, General Director of DKSH Vietnam, expressed his sincere thanks to the doctors, nurses and volunteers who have always worked hard to get through this difficult time. “We also hope that our donations will help doctors and nurses in their efforts to save lives,” he said. “I believe that together, we will once again overcome the COVID-19 pandemic.”
