Hanoi receives more than VND80 billion to support COVID-19 prevention

(CPV) – Vingroup supports 500,000 Realtime PCR tests and 450,000 quick tests for COVID-19 testing; BCG Foundation Group, a subsidiary of BAMBOO CAPITAL Group, donated 160,000 Molnupiravir anti-viral tablets to treat COVID-19, with a total value of more than VND80 billion.

On March 1, the Hanoi Fatherland Front held a ceremony to receive donations and transfer medical supplies to serve the prevention and control of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Speaking at the reception ceremony, Standing Vice Chairman of the Hanoi Fatherland Front Nguyen Anh Tuan thanked organizations and businesses for their support, despite facing many difficulties due to the pandemic. “This is a great source of encouragement and support for the city in pandemic prevention and control,” he said, pledging to immediately transfer all the goods to the City Department of Health to promptly create resources and contribute to improving the capacity of the capital's health system.
He suggested the City Department of Health allocate and use the goods for the right purposes, effectively and in accordance with the regulations; continuing to call on agencies, organizations and units to pay attention to and support the pandemic prevention and control work, and the television and computer program for children, creating resources for the city to quickly control and prevent the disease, promoting disease control and favorable conditions for socio-economic development.
Since the beginning of 2022, the Hanoi Fatherland Front has received over VND23.6 billion in funding to support pandemic prevention and control, responding to the vaccination program; support equipment, medical supplies and essential goods./.
