Hanoi to build three large bridges across Red River

Three large bridges across the Red River, including Tu Lien Bridge, Tran Hung Dao Bridge and Ngoc Hoi Bridge, will be built by using public investment capital.

The Office of the Hanoi People's Committee has just made a report about the conclusion of Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh on the implementation of investment in the construction of a number of large bridges across the Red River.
Accordingly, the Chairman agrees on the policy of investing in three large bridges across the Red River using state budget capital.
Specifically, the project on Tu Lien Bridge and Tu Lien Road construction to Hanoi - Thai Nguyen Expressway using public investment capital.
Mr. Duong Duc Tuan, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee, is assigned to work with businesses to discuss and agree on the investment plan to build Tu Lien Bridge to ensure feasibility, efficiency and early implementation of construction.
The Department of Planning and Investment urgently reviewed the submission of the Department of Transport on the pre-feasibility study report of the project, advised, proposed and reported to the City People's Committee to submit to the competent authority to organize the appraisal and approval of the investment policy in January 2025. The total investment of Tu Lien Bridge is provisionally estimated at 19,959 billion VND.
In addition, the Hanoi People's Committee also agreed on the policy of implementing the Tran Hung Dao Bridge Construction Project using public investment capital. In particular, the Hanoi Department of Transport is assigned to urgently make a pre-feasibility study report of the project, submit it to the competent authority to organize the appraisal and approval, and then report to the City People's Committee in February 2025.
Meanwhile, Ngoc Hoi Bridge and the access roads at both ends of the bridge were invested with public investment capital.
The Department of Planning and Architecture is responsible for advising and proposing to the City People's Committee to organize a competition for the architectural design of the main bridge across the Red River, and report to the City People's Committee in December./.
