Ho Chi Minh City commends 263 young followers of Uncle Ho’s example

The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Ho Chi Minh City on May 13 honoured 263 outstanding members for well following Uncle Ho’s example.

Of the 263 honoured members, 158 were male and 105 were female. As many as 190 were Party members and seven were ethnic minority groups.

The activity aimed to celebrate the 134th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19).

They are typical young individuals with excellent achievements at work and study, typical examples in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style, and those who are prestigious and have a positive influence in society.

Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Communist Youth Union and Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Union of Ho Chi Minh City, Ngo Minh Hai, said that the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union has promoted studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and style in programs, movements and campaigns.

Studying and following Uncle Ho's ideology, morality and style in practical, effective and suitable ways for young people has created an exciting competitive atmosphere, contributing to improving the quality of all aspects of work of the Union, enhancing the sense of responsibility of city’s officials and union members.

Since then, thousands of innovative young followers of Uncle Ho's example have been honored. The 263 delegates praised and honored today are the most typical and outstanding examples among the more than 74,000 typical times honored as advanced youth following Uncle Ho's words at the grassroots level in the period 2022-2024.

These are officers and soldiers who are bravely fighting crime, maintaining social order and safety, and participating in protecting maritime borders; young cadres, civil servants, public employees, and young intellectuals who are diligent and dedicated to finding every creative way to promote their work; young doctors and nurses with outstanding achievements in activities for public health./.
