The local administration, Doosan Vina and the Republic of Korea’s Chung Ang University Hospital (CAU) have jointly organized a charity program to provide free medical examination, consultation, and medicine to people in the central province of Quang Ngai.

This is the 13th annual program, running from January 15-19 with two key activities of free medical examination for 1,500 people and medical equipment to the Binh Son Medical Centre with a total value of about 1.9 billion VND.
On January 15, Doosan Vina and CAU leaders presented an X-ray digital radiography system worth nearly 526 million VND to Binh Son Medical Center to help the district’s medical facility improve service quality.
On the same day, a group of 18 doctors and nurses from CAU conducted free medical examinations, consultations and giving medicines for the local people in two communes of Binh Nguyen, Binh Long and Chau O town.
On January 18 and 19, the delegation will continue to examine and give medicines to people in communes of Tra Bong district at Tra Xuan Medical Center.
In particular, Doosan Vina provides shuttle buses to the medical examination places to help ensure safety for people during their travel.
Since 2009, the program has so far provided free examinations to 28,000 people in Quang Ngai province, including 22 children being taken to the RoK for surgery on congenital heart defects, cleft lip and palate.
Within the framework of the program, from 2018, Doosan Vina and CAU have also donated many medical equipment with a total value of nearly 6.5 billion VND to hospitals in the province.
In addition, the two organizations have also sent Vietnamese doctors and nurses to CAU’s headquarter in the RoK for training to improve their expertise./.
