Nearly 1.7 million disadvantaged people supported during Humanitarian Month 2024

As many as 29 provinces and cities established Provincial Red Cross Activity Funds and more than 1,500 Red Cross houses were built and repaired and nearly 4,000 households received support for their livelihoods during the campaign taking place from May 1 – 31.

Humanitarian Month serves as a peak period for widespread participation in humanitarian efforts, fostering a movement of good deeds throughout society, focusing on eradicating hunger, reducing poverty, and evaluating social security.

Since its establishment in 2018, Red Cross organizations at all levels have mobilized nearly 118 million USD and assisted more than 6 million disadvantaged people, fostering a significant movement of solidarity within the community./.
