The monument is being constructed within the premises of Yok Don Border Guard Station, covering an area of approximately 150 square meters. It consists of a statue crafted from solid stone, modeled after the original artwork "Listening to the Homeland" by sculptor Vu Ngoc Khoi. The base is cast from reinforced concrete, clad with stone on the exterior. Surrounding the base are four tiered steps, also stone-clad, with a landscaped courtyard. The project, with a total budget of nearly VND500 million, was funded by the Border Guard Command of Dak Lak province, supported by local authorities.

Colonel Dao Viet Hung, Commander of the Border Guard of Dak Lak province, emphasized during the inauguration ceremony that the "Uncle Ho with Border Guards" monument serves as an educational site for tradition and history, motivating officers and soldiers to uphold President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and style and his teachings to the Border Guards. Additionally, it enhances the image and international relations work of Yok Don Border Guard Station, serving as a cultural highlight on the border.

This was the sixth monument project coordinated in Dak Lak province. Previously, similar monuments were erected and handed over at Bo Heng, Yok M’Bre, Ia Rve, Se Re Pok Border Guard Stations, and Dak Rue Border Gate./.
