Thousands of people donate blood on Red Sunday

Thousands of people, including young people and students from many universities, on December 24 gathered at the Hanoi University of Science and Technology campus to respond to the 16th Red Sunday blood donation program 2024.

This is a voluntary blood donation program organized annually by Tien Phong Newspaper in coordination with the National Traffic Safety Committee and the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion.
Over the past 15 years, the program has received about 250,000 units of blood in most provinces and cities nationwide. Thanks to that, tens of thousands of patients have been given more hope for life and can return to reunite with their beloved families as the Tet holiday is approaching.
This year, the program takes place from November 2023 to the end of March 2024 in 45 provinces and cities. It is expected that the program will receive 45,000-50,000 units of blood.
In 2023, the program received nearly 60,000 units of blood, exceeding the set plan by nearly 10,000 units./.
