Vaccination against COVID-19 exceeds 90 million doses

Statistics on the immunization portal on the morning of November 8 show that, up to now, the whole country injected 90,803,650 doses of COVID-19 vaccine for the population.

All of 63 provinces and cities across the country have injected at least one dose for their 50% or more of population.

According to the Ministry of Health, as of November 7, out of a total of 195 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine with contracts or agreements on supply, Vietnam has received 124 million doses, with 109 million doses having been allocated to localities.

For 19 southern provinces and cities alone, the Ministry of Health has allocated 51.7 million doses of vaccine and it continues to consider this a key area to supply vaccines and ensure the implementation of the vaccination campaign.

In terms of vaccination for children from 12-17 years old, so far, many localities have implemented vaccination for this group, including Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Binh Duong, Kien Giang, Ninh Binh, Quang Ninh, Dong Nai, Ca Mau, Kien Giang, Hau Giang, Soc Trang and Vinh Long.

Many other provinces and cities have planned vaccination for children in November and December based on the allocated number of vaccines.

Comirnaty vaccine manufactured by Pfizer-BioNTech of the United States is used to vaccinate children in Vietnam. This vaccine is recommended by the World Health Organization to vaccinate children and has been used by many countries./.
