Deputy Foreign Minister Ha Kim Ngoc welcomes Dominican Minister of Agriculture Limber Lucas Cruz Lopez

At the meeting, on behalf of Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son, Deputy Foreign Minister Ha Kim Ngoc expressed his pleasure to welcome Dominican Minister of Agriculture Limber Lucas Cruz Lopez to visit Vietnam and have effective working meetings with Vietnam’s Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
The Deputy Minister affirmed that the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the two Ministries in the field of agriculture will create open and effective cooperation opportunities in this field.
For his part, Dominican Minister of Agriculture Limber Lucas Cruz Lopez exchanged the results of work between the two Ministries of Agriculture and affirmed that the two sides have a lot of room for cooperation.
In terms of the relationship between the two countries, Deputy Minister Ha Kim Ngoc said that the two sides have had a traditional relationship of friendship, and Vietnam thanks Dominica for its support and cooperation in the previous resistance war, as well as the current process of construction and socio-economic development. Vietnam congratulates President Luis Abinader on being re-elected for a second term at the general election in May.
He affirmed that Vietnam attaches importance to developing relations with Dominica on both bilateral and multilateral levels, through diplomatic channels of the Party, State, parliament and people. Vietnam hopes to soon welcome Dominica's senior leaders to visit.
Agreeing with the opinion of the Minister Limber Lucas Cruz Lopez, Mr. Ngoc said that the two sides have strengths that can complement each other in the field of agriculture, including high-tech industrial agriculture; at the same time, he hopes that the two sides will expand cooperation into the fields of construction, telecommunications, oil and gas and electric car production.
Minister Limber Lucas Cruz Lopez affirmed that Dominica values and wishes to promote cooperation with Vietnam in all fields. Dominica has opened its embassy in Vietnam to strengthen and expand cooperation areas between the two countries.
Appreciating the development potential in the agricultural sector between the two countries, Mr. Limber Lucas Cruz Lopez hopes that Vietnamese agricultural enterprises will cooperate and invest in production in Dominica, then they can export to third countries./.
