This is a cooperation program between the Overseas Labourer Management Department, the German Organization for International Cooperation and the Center for Employment and Foreign Human Resources under the German Federal Labour Agency.

According to the Overseas Labourer Management Department, the goal of the program is to train qualified Vietnamese nursing candidates to work in Germany in the medical field in a transparent, sustainable and profitable way, bringing practical benefits for Vietnamese candidates and contributing to strengthening the friendly and mutually beneficial cooperation between Vietnam and Germany. Candidates do not have to pay any costs associated with submitting an application.

From 2022 to 2023, the Overseas Labourer Management Department is expected to recruit, train and send 160 Vietnamese candidates to study and work in Germany in general nursing, including taking care of the elderly, the sick and children.

Students are allowed to participate in a 12-month German language course, scheduled from July 2022 to August 2023. During the time of learning German, the trainees get free accommodation and a meal allowance of EUR36 per month.

In Germany, students can participate in a 3-year training course to become general nurses and receive an apprenticeship salary from EUR1,100-1,300 per month.

After successfully completing the course, the candidates will be granted a national certificate; can work and enjoy salary and social welfare like German citizens; and be considered for long-term settlement in Germany./.
