43 exhibitors join Top Thai Brands 2020

(CPV) - The Top Thai Brands 2020 aims to promote and enhance relations between Thailand and Vietnam, as well as further develop economic partnership, bringing benefits and prosperity for the two countries.

The four-day event, hosted by the Department of International Trade Promotion under the Ministry of Commerce of Thailand, Office of Commercial Affairs under the Royal Thai Embassy in Hanoi, in cooperation with the Vietnam National Trade Fair and Advertising and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam,  opened in Hanoi on July 9th.

The event attracted the participation of 43 exhibitors with 75 booths displaying and selling numerous categories of quality products from Thailand, including food and beverages, fresh fruits, household products, textiles and garments, jewellery, health and beauty products, decorative Items and souvenirs.

On the sidelines, special activities are being organized such as Thai food tasting prepared by Thai Select restaurants in Vietnam and Thai dancing performance.

Speaking at the event, Thai Ambassador to Vietnam Tanee Sangrat said that the Thailand-Vietnam trade relations have been strengthened for long time. In 2019, two-way trade turnover reached more than USD17 billion. Specifically, Top Thai Brands 2020 is also a distribution channel with the goal of introducing new products and services of Thailand to Vietnamese people.

He described Top Thai Brands 2020 as a good opportunity for Vietnamese customers to access many of Thailand’s quality goods, creating a platform for both Vietnamese and Thai enterprises to enlarge their networks and further develop strategic partnerships.

Not only a big trade partner in ASEAN, Thailand is among Top 10 foreign investors in Vietnam. As of the end of May 2020, Thailand is the ninth biggest investor in the country, with 571 projects, worth USD12.3 billion./.
