Third ABAC meeting promotes economic cooperation in APEC

On July 26th, the third APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC) meeting officially opened its plenary session in Toronto, Canada to promote cooperation and economic and trade links in APEC.

PCC member and Standing Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son attended and spoke about Vietnam APEC SOM activities in 2017.

Delegations from the 21 APEC economies also attended the event.

During the five-day meeting (from July 24th to 28th), participants attended many meetings and side activities such as APEC-Canada Growing Business Partnership Symposium on Technology and Innovation, Asia-Pacific Financial Forum and visited the assembly complex of Bombardier and MaRS Urban Initiative complex.

This meeting aims to boost public policy initiatives in APEC, encourage partnership between Canadian and foreign enterprises, share and spread practical experience in some key areas, promote creativity and creative finance, promote the values of Canada and business customs in APEC; and promote Canada as a creative centre and attractive investment destination.

This is the important ABAC meeting in 2017 in order to prepare initiatives submitted to APEC leaders at the summit which will be held at the end of the year./.
