Ambassador Nguyen Minh Vu presents letter of credence to German President

Vietnamese Ambassador to Germany Nguyen Minh Vu recently presented his letter of credence to German President Franz-Walter Steinmeier in Bellevue palace.

At the ceremony, Ambassador Nguyen Minh Vu delivered cordial regards and good wishes from the General Secretary, State President Nguyen Phu Trong and senior leaders of Vietnam to the German President.

He expressed his great honour to be appointed as Vietnamese Ambassador to Germany, and affirmed that Vietnam always attaches great importance to and wants to strengthen strategic partnership with Germany, its leading partner in the EU in most areas.

The Ambassador wishes to do his best to contribute to developing relations between the two countries, serving the interests of the two peoples.

The President thanked the ambassador and asked him to convey his regards and good wishes to Vietnam’s senior leaders. He reiterated the enduring memory of his previous visits to Vietnam, expressing his impression of Vietnam's achievements about economic and social development and foreign relations after more than 30 years of innovation and development.

The President also congratulated Ambassador Nguyen Minh Vu for being trusted by the Vietnamese leader and appointed to be a Vietnamese Ambassador to Germany. Ms. Franz-Walter Steinmeier hoped that during his tenure, the ambassador would make significant contributions to maintaining, strengthening and further developing the strategic partnership between Germany and Vietnam.

Germany is a nation with the fourth largest economy in the world and high technology standard. It is among the leading investors and importers–exporters in the world.

There are about 170,000 Vietnamese people in Germany, who gradually integrate into and contribute to the common development of the local society./.
