Azerbaijan to increase relationship with Vietnam

Over the past years, the relationship between Azerbaijan and Vietnam has developed on diverse levels, from the State and Party to National Assembly levels.

PM: Vietnam treasures traditional relations with Azerbaijan

So said Azerbaijan Ambassador to Vietnam Anar Imanov during a ceremony held on May 28th to mark the Republic Day of Azerbaijan and 100th anniversary of the diplomatic service of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

In his speech, Ambassador Imanov stressed the important milestone in the history of Azerbaijan on May 28th, 1918, when the country’s Declaration of Independence was adopted.

Regarding the relationship between Azerbaijan and Vietnam, he confirmed that Vietnam is one of the main partners of Azerbaijan in Southeast Asia.

Meanwhile, Assistant of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam Nguyen Van Thao, reviewed that Azerbaijan used to help train many high quality Vietnamese cadres and experts. “Many military and civil experts did not hesitate to help Vietnam in the country’s most difficult period of time,” he said.

Appreciating the strong trust in the Azerbaijan – Vietnam relationship, he noted that it had been reflected in exchanges of delegations, even at the highest levels such as the Party, State, Government and National Assembly./.
